Cradle of Avaiton Museum, centerpiece of Nassau County's new Museum's at Mitchel Center, is expected to be completed by the fall of 2000 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the County. The museum is expected to draw some 500,000 visitors annually, and offer educational programs that will serve over 120,000 school-aged children each year.
